Happy Birthday Coty

Having dinner tonight for Coty's birthday got me thinking about how lucky I am to have some of the best friends in the world. I won't bore you with a long drawn out post about friendship, but I wanted to take a short minute to share with you some of my thoughts.

Over the years I've learned a very important lesson. At least for me, the happiness, support, love, and security needed through friendships is found in the quality of friends, not the quantity. I've also learned that true friends can go days, weeks, months without seeing each other and can pick up exactly where they left off. Best friends don't have to see each other every day or be up to date on every single detail of each others life (although that certainly doesn't hurt). Best friends are there for each other when times are not only good but when times are bad, really bad. Best friends are the ones who aren't afraid to tell you what they think about the decisions you make, but once you make those decisions they will be 110% supportive.

I am so lucky to have some of the best friends in the world. You all know who you are!

In celebration of Coty's Birthday, I've shared a couple of pictures from the past few years! HAPPY BIRTHDAY COTY!!!

Still in Denial

Almost a month later, I am just able to bring myself to blog about the Music City Bowl. As you know from one of my previous posts, my sister bought me Music City Bowl tickets for Graduation! If you know anything about me, you know that I am a major sports junkie. So for me, these tickets were one of the absolute best gifts EVER! It was a great sister road trip. We had a great time and had amazing seats as you can see in some of the photos below. For me, I will always consider this a WIN for the Vols. I will be in denial forever. =)

From sitting 1st row - 50 yard line for the Florida game freshman year to sitting on the 50 yard line for the Music City Bowl to watching Pat Summit win her 1,000th game in Thompson-Boling Arena...Tennessee sporting events have been another reason I so thoroughly enjoyed my college experience at UT.

So in remembering the Vols WIN at the Music City Bowl...I've shared some pictures from the WIN and then also a couple other memorable sporting event pictures! Enjoy!

Getting Back on Track

Due in large part to my MacBook being in the shop for the past two weeks - I have done a horrible job at keeping all of you updated on my life. Now, after a brief hiatus and $945.00 in repairs to my MacBook (thankfully, AppleCare warranty allowed me to pay $0.00) I am back!

A lot has happened since graduation. So, over the next week I hope to catch all of you up on all of the happenings in my life. For now, I hope you enjoy the new blog layout!
